Tracking Shot

A tracking shot is used to follow an object or person in a scene of a movie or on television e.g. football, tv soaps etc.  The camera is moved along with the object or person which it is following and I have also shown a example of a tracking shot below.

In the video above which is from the scene in the film Shaun Of The Dead where Shaun is walking to the shops, and in this scene a tracking shot has been used to follow Shaun to the shops as the camera is facing Shaun as this also helps show his expressions towards mornings and also incidents which occur whilst walking to the shop such as tripping over the pavement, The camera is moving in all different areas throughout the scene such as following Shaun in the front at times and also moving behind.
